Closed beta
How the beta works
Places are limited, and every tester is onboarded personally. There is no public sign-up: you receive an invitation, your account is created for you, and you get a short sign-in link by email. From there you create your site in the panel, paste one snippet into your pages, and your first counts appear within a day.
What it counts
- Daily totals for pageviews and link clicks on websites.
- For apps and games, a simple lifecycle: started, first move, completed.
- Optional breakdowns you declare yourself, such as board size or theme.
- In standard mode, unique visitors per day. In strict mode, totals only.
What it never collects
- No cookies, and no visitor profiles.
- No cross-site tracking, and no data is sold or shared.
- No raw event log. Counting receipts are kept for seven days to count each event exactly once, then deleted.
- In standard mode, a visitor is recognised within a single day by a one-way hash. The hash rotates daily and is deleted once the day is finalised. Daily totals are all that remain.
The beta deal
The beta is free. The service is young, so features may change and counts are best-effort while it matures. Your data belongs to you: if you leave the beta, one email is enough and your site and its data are removed.
Your tools
One door in: the Log in button on the Tinkerer Analytics home page takes you to a signed-in home with all of these in one place.
- Guide: the walkthrough, from first sign-in to reading your numbers.
- Panel: create your site, declare its properties, and copy its install snippet.
- Stats dashboard: your daily counts, funnels and breakdowns.
- llms.txt: the whole integration in one plain-text file. Working with an AI assistant? Give it this link and it can implement the tracking for you, in any language.
Sign in with the email address your invitation was sent to. The invitation email carries these same links, so keep it somewhere handy.
